Gay Bishop says Religion is Killing Teens

An assertion that religion, and it's rejection of homosexuality, plays a huge role in the recent wake of teen suicides that have swept the nation. This article has some of the most disturbing quotes by anti-gay religious leaders that I've ever come across.

  1. So I am going to add my input to the topic of wednesday's class. Essentially everyone kept voicing what was on my mind so I stayed silent but I would like to contribute to this post. I don't think that religion should be held responsible for these suicides, clearly these teens had other issues past bullying. We can make people more amicable to homosexuality even though religion prohibits it. It's called tolerance, so I don't think that religious leaders should be blamed but society as a whole for failing to tolerate differences even if we strongly disagree. Just because an institution opposes something doesn't mean it preaches intolerance. Religion can peacefully disagree and I think it is unfair to make a link to religion and bullying.
